Why Use Google Docs?
Anytime students or adults, for that matter, have a project with a report, research, rubrics, that requires, collaborative work, this is how to do it. The old days of sending emails back and forth with attachments, reviewing MS Office docs one at a time, slowly–are the old days. Google Docs make collaboration on work as easy as doing the work yourself. Instead of printing a report, the student could be allowed to simply "share" it online with her. Set up a Google account for free. This does not mean you have to have another Email account, although I do like Gmail.
